Georgia photographer Zach Deloach creates fantastical imagery for his series about loss, connection, and discovering yourself.
“This photo was created entirely in camera and shot on film (Kodak Gold 200) with my Mamiya RB67.It was originally just a test image for another series I was developing and it ended up turning out beautifully, so I added it to my ongoing series called ‘Desiderium’.”

“I didn't have a traditional background in art and for my work to resonate enough to be represented this way is honestly just really motivating for me as an individual.
I hope that I can use this to continue to push others around me to follow their own instincts and create from a place of curiosity and honesty in their own craft.”
ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Zach Deloach is from a small southern town in GA called Newnan. He grew up as a musician and had been playing for close to 10 years, when photography “just kind of randomly fell into my lap”.
He’s been taking photographs now for close to 9 years.
He enjoys taking photos of people and is a huge fan of anything horror or sci-fi related. “I love having a medium where I can jump between simply documenting whats around me and then use it to create worlds outside of my reality as well.”
