Some of the best creators on VSCO are here because another creator brought them in. Our VSCO Referral Program is how we say thanks – with real cash for every annual VSCO One member you introduce.

These terms cover how the VSCO Referral Program (this “Program”) works, including who can participate, what you earn, and the small handful of rules that keep things clear and fair for everyone. 

By participating in this Program, you agree to these terms and conditions and our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

• You’re at least 18 years old and are the registered VSCO One account holder. Participation is non-transferable and limited to one account per person.
• You’re a legal resident of a region in which VSCO One is offered and sold. 
• You’re an active VSCO One subscriber with a current VSCO One membership and the account holder, both when you refer someone and when your reward pays out.
• To qualify, the creators you refer to VSCO (each a “Qualified Referral”) must be individuals or businesses who are not currently subscribed to VSCO One or have purchased a VSCO One membership previously. Self-referrals don’t qualify. 
• You’re not a VSCO employee, contractor, agency partner, or an immediate family member (spouse, parent, child, sibling, household member) of a VSCO employee or contractor. VSCO Brand Ambassadors and Creator Partners are eligible to participate in this Program, subject to the terms of your Ambassador or Creator Partner Agreement (as applicable) with us. 

Getting Paid

General

Referral Rewards are issued by Tremendous, our third-party rewards payment partner, and delivered by email to the address provided at sign-up. 

You can redeem your reward from a selection of available payout options (which may include gift cards, prepaid cards, or other digital payouts) by clicking the link in your reward email. 

Tremendous will automatically convert your Referral Rewards from USD to the currency of your selected payout.  You must be an active VSCO One member at the time the reward pays out. If your VSCO One subscription has lapsed, the reward will be held for 90 days while you reactivate, or it will be forfeited.

Brand Ambassadors and Creator Partners

If you are a VSCO Brand Ambassador or VSCO Creator Partner, you must provide your payment information in Tremendous (using your business account, if applicable) to redeem your referral rewards. 

You must disclose your paid relationship with VSCO whenever you promote their link (per FTC endorsement guidelines). 

Brand Ambassador and Creator Partner rewards are paid only on referrals attributed to your unique link. Your participation is subject to the terms of your respective Brand Ambassador or Creator Partner Agreement.

Taxes

Rewards may count as taxable income. VSCO doesn’t withhold taxes, and Tremendous or VSCO may issue a 1099 in accordance with U.S. reporting requirements. Consult a tax professional with individual questions.

Qualified Referrals

If a referred subscription is refunded, canceled within the money-back window, or charged back, the referral is reversed and any reward paid on it may be recovered. 

The following also will disqualify you from earning referral rewards:

• Paid advertising or bidding on VSCO brand terms to promote your link.
• Bulk email, automated messaging, DMs, bots, fake accounts, or other spammy distribution (CAN-SPAM and GDPR apply).
• Multiple accounts, attribution manipulation, or other gaming.
• Gaming attribution — if a referral didn’t actually come through your link, it doesn’t count.

We reserve the right to verify that referred members are real, distinct people before paying out any rewards. If we suspect fraud or abuse, we can freeze your link, withhold pending rewards, recover paid rewards, and remove you from the Program. We’ll let you know if we do.

General Terms

• We may modify, suspend, or end the Program at any time, including reward amounts, the referral discount, and these terms, with notice through our VSCO apps, website, or your account email. 
• Continued participation means you accept the updated terms. If this Program ends, we’ll provide a reasonable window to redeem pending rewards before unclaimed amounts are forfeited. 
• Accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraud may be suspended or removed, and pending rewards may be forfeited on removal.
• To the fullest extent allowed by law, VSCO isn’t liable for damages arising from your participation, including lost rewards, technical issues, or Program changes. Rewards have no value beyond what this Program offers and can’t be exchanged, sold, or transferred except where required by law. This Program is void where prohibited.
• These terms are governed by California law, with disputes going to the state or federal courts in San Francisco County. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest still applies. 
• Together with VSCO’s Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, these terms are the full agreement between you and VSCO regarding the Program.

What is the VSCO Referral Program?
A way for active VSCO One members to earn cash by bringing other creators to VSCO One. Share your referral link; when an eligible referral subscribes annually through it and does not cancel, you earn a cash reward and they get $75 off their first year.

Who can participate?
Active VSCO One members who are 18 or older as the registered VSCO account holder. VSCO employees, contractors, and their immediate family members are not eligible. Active members are automatically enrolled. You can find your link in your VSCO account.

How much can I earn?
$100 for each of your first 20 verified referrals, and $150 for each one after that. 

How is a referral verified?
‍Your referral signs up for an annual VSCO One subscription through your link and stays subscribed past the 30-day money-back window. Until then, the referral shows as pending.

When and how do I get paid?
Cash is paid through Tremendous, our rewards partner. You’ll get an email when a reward is ready to claim, with options like bank transfer. You must be an active VSCO One member at payout.

Why didn’t I get credit for a referral?
Most often, your referral didn’t sign up through your link, already had VSCO One, canceled within the money-back window. Email referrals@vsco.co if you think a referral was missed.

Do rewards expire?
Pending referrals clear once the 30-day confirmation window passes. Once issued, a reward must be claimed within the window Tremendous specifies, or it may expire.

What if my referral cancels or refunds?
The referral is reversed. If a reward was already paid on it, the amount may be deducted from future rewards.

Can the $75 discount be combined with other VSCO offers?
No, where multiple offers could apply, the deeper discount wins.

I’m a Creator Partner – is the Program different for me?
As a VSCO Creator Partner, you will receive the Referral Rewards detailed in your Creator Partner Agreement. You’ll also need to provide LLC information in Tremendous to redeem, and you need to disclose your paid relationship with VSCO whenever you promote your link (FTC endorsement guidelines). Rewards are paid only on referrals attributed to your unique link.

Are Referral Rewards taxable?
They may be, depending on where you live and how much you earn. VSCO doesn’t withhold taxes; you may receive a 1099 from Tremendous or VSCO in accordance with U.S. reporting requirements. We recommend you talk to your tax advisor with any specific questions.

What happens if the Program changes or ends?
We can modify, suspend, or end the Program at any time, with notice. If the Program ends, you’ll have a reasonable window to redeem pending rewards before they’re forfeited.
