ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Curtis Ray Benally is an enrolled tribal member of the Navajo Nation. His Diné (Navajo) name is Turkeyboy. He was born on Thanksgiving Day, and the name was given to him by his great uncle Frank Bluehorse, a traditional medicine man.

He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts degree. He currently resides in Farmington, New Mexico.
