“There are so many uncertainties, but I know that I want to create art. VSCO has given me a place to feel free to put that art into the world without the judgment that usually comes with other forms of social media.”
Emma wants to create for a living. After 6 years of VSCO Membership, she's proud of the visual diary she’s created that also tracks her creative growth.
“Being able to quite literally scroll through my life and all the versions of myself is a cool sort’ve visual diary that I can hopefully look back on in 5, 10, 15 years and see where I started as well as what stayed the same or what’s changed.”
To Emma, community means having something bigger than yourself that also reminds you that you aren’t alone. She credits that feeling of connection with saving her life.
“There are so many cool people I have met on VSCO but there’s one specifically. Her name’s Andie ...she came into my life at a time when I really needed someone. Who knew this place I liked to post my art and way too many pictures of the sunset would be the same place I’d find the person who would be the one to save me.”
